Simpson is a well-respected racing safety products manufacturer. Yesterday afternoon I was able to get out of work early & I traveled up to New Braunfels, TX. I visited the Simpson world headquarters in New Braunfels, TX. Once there, I met two of their staff personnel that were VERY helpful & generous in wanting to show and tell me everything. As one of them said, “Anything to get the word out more!”
Obviously, this was a LOT more fruitful than that Saturday visit I made there last July.
Also, I wanted to let you know this was why I pulled a “no show” on the blog yesterday. Next week I will have a lot more information, details & pictures. I am looking forward to digesting all the information and pictures I got, and anticipating posting more detailed information for your perusal. Here’s a cool poster from their company store (excuse the flash glare…).
Let me tell you just a little bit more about my first impression there. It was a good one! The attitude I felt from the people at this plant & the offices was good down home caring and concern; for both their products and their customers. This year is Simpson’s 50th year in the business. The first product that started this whole enterprise was Bill Simpson’s introduction of the first parachutes for drag racing machines, in 1959. Parachutes were mandated as a braking device for cars that exceeded 150 mph. Simpson has grown significantly since then.
