A Strange Sense of Car Ownership Pride
Since it rained today, I couldn’t mow the lawn. So, I decided to wash my Big White Whale (2000 Nissan Maxima SE). It was long overdue…
It’s strange. If you’ve been reading this blog for any length of time, you know I don’t hold my over 100K miles set of wheels in the highest regard. But, after cleaning it up, adding more air to the tires & dressing those tires … it looked good. So good that I was inspired to take some pictures and do a quick post about it.
Also, my ride will look a bit more presentable as I arrive at the SPOKES Autocross #5 tomorrow, the last one at the San Marcos Municipal Airport. Afterwords, will be the Harris Hill Road After Party. It will be a long, but worthwhile day. I haven’t been on any ride-alongs recently, so I’ll be sure to take along my helmet, too.
We’ll see whose cars are there, what pictures I’ll take & who I’ll talk to (interview for the blog). I know I plan on having a savory hamburger meal, by Louie.
Okay, Racing Ready is getting prepared for a multi-event Sunday – we’ll see ya’!
Dan
